Estate of BUSD manager lists in Berkeley

The estate of Elaine Pecot has listed for sale a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 1520 Ward St. in Berkeley for $549,000.

The 1,981-square-foot house was built in 1912 in South Berkeley neighborhood. Julie Ann Nachtwey of Pacific Union International is the listing agent for the home.

Ms. Pecot began her career with the Berkeley Unified School District in 1965 and retired in 2002 as manager and leader of BUSD’s Transportation Dept after 37 years of service.

She died in Aug. 2009, shortly after her 70th birthday.
